ABOUT
Welcome to the Casco Bay Tuna Club, a long-standing institution on the Maine Coast dedicated to the sport of fishing and the bonds of community. We are a 501(C)7 Sports Fishing Club deeply rooted in the heritage of angling and committed to preserving this tradition for generations to come.

We are proud to continue the tradition of the Bailey Island Fishing Tournament, a historic event now in its 83rd year, and recognized as one of the oldest (possibly THE oldest) and most cherished fishing tournaments in the country. This tournament is more than just a competition; it is a celebration of Maine's rich maritime culture, a gathering place for passionate anglers, and a testament to the enduring spirit of sportsmanship.

Our focus is not on high-stakes purses or exclusive experiences. Instead, we are driven by the pure love of the sport, the camaraderie of shared endeavor, and the pursuit of angling glory in its truest form. At the heart of the Casco Bay Tuna Club is a commitment to our community. We are an organization for the people, by the people, left intentionally "gritty," prioritizing participation and passion over pretension.
We believe in fostering a welcoming environment where seasoned anglers and newcomers alike can connect, learn, and contribute to the legacy of fishing in Casco Bay.
We are dedicated to ensuring that the thrill of the catch and the time-honored traditions of Maine fishing are vibrant and accessible for future generations.
